RML Specialty Hospital is committed to fulfilling the needs of patients and their families. We invite you to partner with RML in supporting our long-term acute care hospital, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Your contributions support all RML activities and programs that work to improve the quality of life for our patients.
Making a gift
The decision to give is a personal choice and we deeply appreciate any contribution. Each gift helps further our mission and our commitment to deliver the highest quality of care. There are many ways to support RML. A few are listed here:
Cash
An outright gift of cash, check or credit card goes to work right away to help improve the lives of those we serve. Indicate your contribution and method of payment on our donation form*.
Tribute gifts
Tribute gifts are a way to recognize a special occasions such as a birthday, anniversary, or other notable life event. Or, you may make your gift in recognition of the excellent care given by a physician, nurse, or other caregiver. Loved ones can also be remembered by making a tribute in their memory. A personalized card will be mailed to the individual or family you designate to let them know about your thoughtful gift.
Stocks and securities
When you donate long-term appreciated securities (stocks and bonds), you are allowed a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the stock; additionally you may avoid a potential capital gains tax on any appreciation in the value of the stock. Giving stocks to RML can be done by electronic transfer, through the mail, or in person.
Estates, wills, and trusts
By remembering RML Specialty Hospital in your estate plans, you can have an impact on medical progress that goes beyond your lifetime. Making a bequest will qualify for an estate tax charitable deduction. Many donors find that through bequests, they are able to make a significant philanthropic commitment more comfortably than they might during their lifetime. To make a bequest to RML Specialty Hospital please consult your attorney and other appropriate advisors as well as our Development Office.
Here is an example of standard language that you might consider:
I give, devise and bequeath to RML Specialty Hospital, 5601 South County Line Road, Hinsdale, Illinois, the sum of $___ (or: _____ percent of the residue of my estate and or other personal property appropriately described) to be used for _______ (or: to be used for the area of greatest need, as determined by the RML Board of Directors to best promote the institution’s objectives).
